This work is an intimate homage to the delicate beauty of the moment. Using pastels and flowing lines, I have tried to capture the peace and gentleness in the facial expression. It radiates quiet self-acceptance and melancholy, blending harmoniously into the space and bringing warmth and serenity to any place.
The substrate is Hahnemühle drawing paper with a grammage of 120 g/m².
The lines were drawn with force and determination.
Gunter Langer works as a painter, draftsman, etcher, and sculptor; after intensive artistic training and numerous exhibitions, he developed a distinctive style. His technique is characterized by concentrated, expressive lines and figurative compositions in which body and mind form a formal unity. With abstract linear structures and a constant exploration of the human model, he captures vivid, emotional moments. His works powerfully convey the strength and uniqueness of human expression and the profound yearning for understanding one's innermost being.
