About this artwork
On a very hot afternoon at Bear Lake, Utah, the sun was just going down and this image came across the lake. It was difficult to look into the sunset, but this is the image I was able to make out. It was a peaceful picture after a full day on the water and barbecuing. I decided to paint a rather impressionistic moment.

Credentials
- Works on commission
Gunter Radinger is a self-taught painter working primarily with acrylics, pen, and ink, drawing on his early artistic beginnings in Germany and diverse life experiences. He employs expressive, realistic techniques to depict landscapes, especially those inspired by the tranquil expanses of Utah and the Southwestern US, yet he remains eclectic in his choice of subjects. Through his art, he passionately conveys a profound sense of peace, awe, and the simple joy of observing the marvels of the natural world.
