Guy Cardon is a visual artist living and working in Brussels. He was educated at the St Luke School of Art in Brussels where he studied drawing, painting, and interior design. His work can be found in private and corporate collections.
Inspired by more than a century of modern art, from Bauhaus to Hard Edge, from constructivism to minimalism, from De Stijl to Color Field Painting, his work is in line with these modernist movements.
" I like balance and simplicity. My compositions are utopian attempts to offset the chaos surrounding us... and maybe also to tame the inner chaos!
I want more than to please the eye. I am interested in the strength of structures, in the energy of colors. And in how I can put them working together to arouse feelings and emotions.
I am always very grateful when in one way or another my work touches the interiority of the viewer. "
