About this artwork
In crafting this piece, I've melded oil and charcoal to portray raw emotion and energy. It's a collision of fine art's grace with pop art's vibrancy, underpinned by expressionism's search for truth. The bold, impasto strokes capture a moment of profound introspection and the complexity of the human psyche. This artwork is meant to evoke a sense of dynamic passion, igniting conversation and thought in the beholder's space.

« Painting and painting over, closing in, and the alternation of repetition and reversal. »
GyoBeom An is an artist based in South Korea whose paintings have been featured in several solo exhibitions nationally. He describes his artistic process as being based on the collection of images of interest, which he then transforms into another piece by adding "an inner feeling to them". His vibrant compositions are most often created with oils and charcoal on canvas.
