About this artwork
In the foreground lemon branches and orange blossoms, the invitation is to look beyond, the essence of years of history of what we were beyond the newly painted facades. Contrast of “quality”. Clean and intense colors: sincerity and being, safe contours: value, white flowers: what you will no longer find.
It's easy to misunderstand when everything is so in order, what does this static composure hide? It bores me a bit. This composition is so beautiful… but so obvious, I wish it said more than what I already know, like when you open a gift and you already know what's inside.
I glimpse a glimpse of summers burned, lost, never seen again, gray and cold winters already pulverized, nothing remains of the nuances, the wind sweeps everything away, the memory of a clouded dream, the efforts to remember? useless, the lemon remains, immobile with every passage of time with its shiny gems.
