« The subject of my painting is color - color as an essentially effective phenomenon. Color as the result of the encounter of light and matter. Color between material appearance and immaterial effectiveness. »

Hannah A. Hovermann is an award-winning artist based in Germany whose paintings have been featured in numerous solo and group exhibitions nationally. She describes her works as emerging from an "inner space" that is energetic, mental, and spiritual. In addition, Hovermann is inspired by the volatility, changeability and transience of color. Her striking compositions are primarily created with watercolors on cardboard.
