About this artwork

Energy Flows is een krachtig abstract schilderij waarbij het blauw en rood elkaar versterkt en de energie die ik voelde bij het maken van dit werk visueel tot leven is gebracht.

De achtergrond is intens rood opgebouwd uit verschillende tinten en texturen rood die in combinatie met het blauw de kenmerkende diepte en beweging aan het schilderij geven. De olieverd is dik aangebracht wat het werk een tastbare, fysieke aanwezigheid geeft.

Energy flows… is voor mij een visuele vertaling van energie in pure vorm, dynamisch, vloeiend en ongrijpbaar. De rode achtergrond symboliseert intensiteit en passie, een constante stroom van impulsen en gevoelens. Daar tegenover staan de blauwe vormen die als energiebanen door het doek bewegen. Deze vertegenwoordigen voor mij de balans, kalmte binnen de chaos die soms in ons leven is.

Mijn werk is intuitief en gelaagd. Ik schilder niet wat ik zie, maar wat ik van binnen voel.
