Hans Schwarzl is an Austrian artist whose paintings have been featured in several solo exhibitions nationally. His compositions often feature characters as hourglasses, which he calls the "seeker", traditionally symbolizing a limited life span. The funnel-shaped head, which is open at the top, represents the experiences and impressions that we absorb in the course of our lives, while time runs to an uncertain point in time.
