About this artwork
I am always inspired by the special light on the coasts in the far north of Europe. The light reflections on the sandy coasts and the high sun in early summer create intense colors and moods that capture the visitor to this endlessly expansive scenery and envelop them in a feeling of freedom, joy and serenity. When the light shimmers over the beach and sea on the rare windless days and fine summer clouds drift by, you feel lightness and joy in existence.… You are simply happy.
These feelings are the subject of the paintings “kiss me summer”, “summer breeze” and “summer's touch”, which inspired me to create this small series during my stay in Tannis Bay in Northern Denmark in June 2024.
« I want to be creative and experience creativity. Therefore I paint what I feel and with great tension, I look at what surrounds me. »
Hasso Heybrock is an artist based in Germany who has exhibited his works nationally, as well as in Denmark, Italy, and Spain. He believes that looking at a painting means walking into an unknown adventure through the picture, where hidden emotions come to the surface. For Heybrock, making the adventure as intense and exciting as possible for the viewer is his main challenge as a painter.
