About this artwork
This abstract painting, along with the similarly sized painting "The Storm Has Passed," was created as an artistic exploration of light, almost white tones. The goal was to break away from the flat, monochrome white and emphasize the lighter color nuances through bold color and form contrasts. The multi-layered, transparent application of paint created an almost ceramic-like surface, the depth of which provides the viewer with space and inspiration… for their own journey of discovery. The title "Where Are You?" invites the viewer to search, freeing them to use their imagination.
« I want to be creative and experience creativity. Therefore I paint what I feel and with great tension, I look at what surrounds me. »
Hasso Heybrock is an artist based in Germany who has exhibited his works nationally, as well as in Denmark, Italy, and Spain. He believes that looking at a painting means walking into an unknown adventure through the picture, where hidden emotions come to the surface. For Heybrock, making the adventure as intense and exciting as possible for the viewer is his main challenge as a painter.
