Living so close to London, one of my greatest joys has always been the ease of escaping into its rich world of museums and galleries. Day Out captures that simple but deeply meaningful pleasure — a perfect slice of time during a half term or holiday, when the rhythm of everyday life softens and curiosity takes the lead.
This painting is filled with the quiet excitement of those days: the anticipation of stepping into grand spaces, the hum of people… wandering, pausing, discovering. There’s a sense of movement and togetherness, of shared experience, where every corner holds something new to see and talk about.
