About this artwork
The vertical writing (in German) in the centre of this abstract painting raises the question of whether we can still be saved in view of the energy shortage, the price explosion, increasing insolvencies and the fear of an economic collapse. The title of the painting refers to this question. Materials: acrylic, pigments, cut-outs, marble dust on canvas. HEGO (Heinz Goevert) is a painter from Germany whose works have been exhibited in solo and group shows internationally. After playing as a drummer for many years in various rhythm and blues bands, HEGO decided to rediscover a passion from his youth: painting. His abstract works attempt to visualize decay through depth and the use of mixed media, often using sand, marble dust, copper, and metal flakes to add texture.
