About this artwork
The colour blue is focussed here in two variants – cyan and ultramarine blue. Cyan partly covers the ultramarine blue – thus creating an interesting tonality. The block in the centre of the painting is “framed” by shreds of fly screen plus acrylic (sand, grey, titanium white, and black). Materials: acrylic, marble dust, fly screen on canvas. Please note that lighting will make a difference in the mood and feel of the painting.

HEGO (Heinz Goevert) is a painter from Germany whose works have been exhibited in solo and group shows internationally. After playing as a drummer for many years in various rhythm and blues bands, HEGO decided to rediscover a passion from his youth: painting. His abstract works attempt to visualize decay through depth and the use of mixed media, often using sand, marble dust, copper, and metal flakes to add texture.
