About this artwork
This iconographical item is an answer to the question what might come out when the styles of “The New Objectivity” or “Bauhaus” are combined with a few elements of “Abstract Expressionism”. The partitioning, the shapes, and the energy of colour are essential for the painting. Materials: acrylic, marble dust on canvas. Please note that lighting will make a difference in the mood and feel of the painting.

« My work explores the aesthetics of decay- decay as a necessary condition for the emergence of something new. »
HEGO (Heinz Goevert) is a painter from Germany whose works have been exhibited in solo and group shows internationally. After playing as a drummer for many years in various rhythm and blues bands, HEGO decided to rediscover a passion from his youth: painting. His abstract works attempt to visualize decay through depth and the use of mixed media, often using sand, marble dust, copper, and metal flakes to add texture.
