About this artwork
“Intermezzo IV” is a multi-layered, colourful “feel good” abstract composition. From a stylistic point of view, this abstract artwork is a mixture of Informel and Geometric Abstraction. The playfully arranged geometric shapes, the underlying layers as well as the contrasts and the partitioning are essential here. Materials: cement, acrylic, pigments on canvas. Please note that lighting will make a difference in the mood and feel of the painting.

« My work explores the aesthetics of decay- decay as a necessary condition for the emergence of something new. »
HEGO (Heinz Goevert) is a painter from Germany whose works have been exhibited in solo and group shows internationally. After playing as a drummer for many years in various rhythm and blues bands, HEGO decided to rediscover a passion from his youth: painting. His abstract works attempt to visualize decay through depth and the use of mixed media, often using sand, marble dust, copper, and metal flakes to add texture.
