About this artwork
This is an experimental, layered and slightly textured abstract composition/collage. HEGO simply dropped the colour soaked pack-twine on the layered canvas, which he had partly covered with fly screen, and let them the way they fell onto it. It all got so intertwined that it reminded HEGO of the famous Laocoön group (title). Materials: acrylic, marble flour, pigments, twine, fly screen on canvas. This painting is done on wooden stretched gallery…
canvas. A high gloss finishing varnish protects the painting from UV-rays, dust or dirt. HEGO’s paintings are securely packaged and shipped through a reputable courier to ensure they reach you safely. Once carefully unwrapped, there is no need to frame as the deep edges of all of HEGO’s works are painted. Due to a bolted holding fixture on the back the painting is READY TO HANG - just ONE nail needed! The painting comes with a certificate of authenticity and is signed on the front.

« My work explores the aesthetics of decay- decay as a necessary condition for the emergence of something new. »
HEGO (Heinz Goevert) is a painter from Germany whose works have been exhibited in solo and group shows internationally. After playing as a drummer for many years in various rhythm and blues bands, HEGO decided to rediscover a passion from his youth: painting. His abstract works attempt to visualize decay through depth and the use of mixed media, often using sand, marble dust, copper, and metal flakes to add texture.
