About this artwork
"Stratosphere" is another abstract “feel-good” composition that is supposed to convey calm, freshness, and optimism. The colouring as well as the partitioning are essential here. The painting is multi-layered and heavy-textured. The colour in the centre of the painting is a mix of turquoise, cyan (light blue) and green. Stylistically, the painting is a mixture of Colour Field Painting, Matter Painting Haute Pate and Informel.

HEGO (Heinz Goevert) is a painter from Germany whose works have been exhibited in solo and group shows internationally. After playing as a drummer for many years in various rhythm and blues bands, HEGO decided to rediscover a passion from his youth: painting. His abstract works attempt to visualize decay through depth and the use of mixed media, often using sand, marble dust, copper, and metal flakes to add texture.
