Heike Drescher, raised in a family of sculptors and puppeteers, creates stone sculptures. Her slow and deliberate handcrafting technique defies the hectic world and allows her to uncover hidden corners of the world. Through reduced forms and rough surfaces, she creates tension and ambiguity, playing humorously with details. Her sculptures express emotions and point to the complexity of our experiences.
