The view follows along the road to my family cottage. Happy times with family in nature has nurtured in me a reverence for nature and I wish to prompt the viewer to see nature afresh, full of wonder and awe.

« Seeking serenity in nature, I wish to express and capture its many moods and share them. »
Helen Utsal is a Canadian painter who has exhibited her pieces nationally, as well as in the United States, China, and France. Her artistic vision is to express her feelings of wonderment and gratitude of nature. She loves old trees and feels as though they are ancient beings. Additionally, Utsal uses her art to raise money for land conservation along the British Colombia coast. Her art is a place for reflection, meditation, and refuge from the busy world.
