About this artwork
For decades hydraulic engineers have tested their calculations with scale models in the Waterloopbos. You will find remnants of the research into the Delta Works, but also of water works for exotic places such as the port of Lagos. This created an area full of gutters, canals and dams. After 1980 the purpose of the research site ended and the area was left to nature. This resulted in a beautiful landscape: the scale models were overgrown by formations…
of untamed nature.
