About this artwork
“ZWIETRACHT” depicts three abstracted figures (each 45x9x9 cm, carved from linden wood stained walnut) in a moment of quiet tension. Each embodies a different stance in the conflict: curiosity, neutrality, defensiveness. The group of sculptures speaks of human relationships, of closeness and distance, and of how differently we react when harmony becomes fragile.
Three figures, three poses, three inner worlds – and a moment everyone recognizes. This… group of sculptures doesn't simply depict conflict. It shows the fragile balance between closeness and distance, between participating, looking away, and distancing oneself.
The bodies are reduced, calm, almost meditative – and precisely because of this, every slight inclination, every tension in the posture becomes meaningful. The figures appear like frozen thoughts.
