« "The "dismantling", or the removal, of the tape remains exciting. Until then, the whole remains hidden and is still a surprise." »
Herman van de Poll is a Dutch painter who has extensively exhibited throughout the Netherlands, Germany and Belgium. Working in a geometric abstract and concrete minimalist style, the language of his art is based on the Chaos theory. He uses geometric shapes in his art and intuitively lets the method he chooses determine the end result. Van de Poll works on coarse linen and panel, using pencil lines, masking tape, oils and acrylics in his pieces.
