About this artwork
In this intaglio print I explored the balance of light and shadow as the early morning sun streamed into my studio casting a long shadow of the coffee set. The image was translated into an etched plate by the printmaking process of Photopolymer Photogravure and the intaglio print is the result of oil based ink transferred from the etched plate into Hahnemuhle 300 gsm paper by passing it through a press.
