« In terms of lack of issue, we live in an abundance of material civilization, but on the contrary, we are losing a lot due to lack of humanity. »
Hobong Kim is an award-winning South Korean artist based in the United States whose works have been exhibited in both nations, as well as in Brazil, Germany, and Italy. His art explores New York City, where he currently resides, as a symbol of capitalism on and selfish human desire. Kim references Beckett's play "Waiting for Godot" as an example of our quest in exploring the meaning of life, eventually realizing its fruitlessness, yet waiting for a "vague hope or savior".
