About this artwork
Artwork "Totems" is 1 of 4 paintings of the series "Blessing".
It framed with a high-quality museum wood frame.
This series “Blessing” contains 4 paintings: “Blessing”, “Totems” “Tree” and "Santa" It was made especially for an exhibition international Group show in Palermo. The whole series is a manifestation of prayer and prayer from the gentlemen about true peace and love between the countries and people. This is the blessing that goes with the… heart that opens to love.
I was inspired by Vivaldi's composition "Filiae maestae Jerusalem" (it says on Latin "Afflicted daughters of Jerusalem").
This music took me to medieval Europe and the crusades of the Inquisition. For many years Jews were persecuted by the Christian religion until in 2001 Pavel 2 rewrote history. He came to Jerusalem and regretted the past full of blood. He asked for forgiveness for all the grief. It teaches about tolerance and mutual brotherhood.

« The less evil an artist has, the more he is an artist. »
Hodaya Levin is an artist based in Israel whose paintings have been exhibited nationally. Her abstract works explore existential questions relating to the meaning of life, our role in the universe, as well as death, and the concepts of good and evil. Levin employs archetypes and other cultural codes to aid her in the deciphering of the abstract messages of the soul. For her, art is an instrument of goodness which can change the world for the better.
