About this artwork
The first time I had a real conflict with my boy. The first time I had to realize that he was growing up and would never be that little child who couldn't wait for me to lie down next to him and read him a bedtime story. In that difficult moment for me, I went to the studio, took the axe and started hitting the wood. Suddenly two images emerged, bound together in true and eternal love.
Acacia wood. Made with axe and added soul.

Kirilov exclusively creates with wood and when the
traditional technique of wood carving was no longer enough for him, he began using a chainsaw, and now employs an ax.
