About this artwork
Although it is wood, it carries water within itself. In it, the tension manifests itself in the form of cracks that seemingly disrupt the entire vibration and flow. The inside comes out. The more material I cut from the trunk, the more this tension decreases. It is all about the removal. In the necessary losses.
In the end, what is visible is the result of everything I throw away from the entire trunk. The unnecessary pieces that I can remove,… That which I can give up. Without clinging. So that the essential remains, visible to the eyes. The soul of the tree.
Can you let go of all the inner tension and let it flow like a river. Can you create yourself.
Cherry wood. Acrylic patina and natural oil
