About this artwork
Acts - New Testament
For the fire pictures, I use the open flame as a tool.
The burner, which is drawn over the overpainted collages like a brush, is supposed to cause changes there that symbolically question the value and permanence of the chosen topic.

« For me, art is a dream in which the impossible becomes possible. »
Hugo Nefe is a German painter, draftsman and sculptor who has exhibited in China and Germany. His works are featured in the Bavarian State Painting Collection as well as the State Art Collection of the People’s Republic of China. While each of his pieces offers a theme, Nefe does not want to deprive the viewer of their own discovery and feels that ‘words lead to another perception than deep contemplation’. He creates using acrylics and India ink.
