Igor Bleischwitz is a young painter born in Kazakhstan and based in Germany, who has exhibited his work nationally. Inspired as much by cave paintings and ancient frescoes as he is weathered posters found in city streets, he composes works that similarly seek to reflect lived experiences with sensitivity and vitality. Bleischwitz begins by painting realistic representations of his chosen motifs, then completely paints over them until mere fragments are visible, capturing both the ambiguity and subconscious memory of moments, people and places.
