About this artwork
Dedication of the lost Byzantine civilization . The artist, due to the rhythm of color spots and lines, depicted the indescribable flavor and aroma of a Christian city, at the same time poetic, but at the same time full of tragedy, which left behind a wonderful cultural trace in the history of civilization and Christianity. This picture is generated by the author's meditative experience.

« The roots of painting come from the same source within us as any other field of art, it is a method of exploring the inner and outer world. »
Igor Leontiev is an experienced artist based in Russia whose paintings have been exhibited nationally, as well as in Latvia, Germany, the United States, Austria, and Switzerland. Indentifying as a polystylist artist, his diverse works oscilate between realism, abstraction, and magical realism. Leontiev's compositions translate internal and external worlds. For him, the most important aspect of art is its freedom of expression.
