About this artwork
you must think I got the names mixed up. It's just a traffic light.
No, it's not just a traffic light, it's an old traffic light. I hope it's not hard to see.
It's only red and yellow. The green light went out on its own, or it was deliberately replaced by red. Layers of paint are peeling off partially or completely. The birds have not spared it and the weather has left its mark on it.
Dead tired, frightened, and unneeded, it still hangs where no… one wants it or can see it.
Isn't that the state of old age?
But it's not death!!! I agree with you, but it's not life either.
But it can be restored and brought back to life. And for what? They've made thousands more traffic lights while you've been working. And they all shine better than you.
So what's left for this traffic light? Probably just wait for the end, like any old man.
