About this artwork
In this process of subtle injuries and healing of the body caused by internal and external influences, I recognize the red lumps inside me. The small and never ending influences caused by oneself, others, and the media grow its size gradually. didn’t realize or turned away.

« I'm just trying to make images as accurately off my nervous system as I can. I don't even know what half of them mean. I'm not saying anything. -Francis Bacon »
Iljun Choi is a South Korean painter and sculptor whose works have been exhibited nationally. His art translates and recognizes "unseen things", such as the underlying strength that he draws from his inner self, nature, children, historical remains, as well as the anxiousness and pain that comes from himself, others, and the media. Choi's engaging compositions are created in themed series.
