In this work, I explored the figurative, which is not my habit but I really liked it. Looking at this mermaid washed up on the beach, immersed in a peaceful sleep, tranquility and appeasement invade us. Bright colors and bold contours evoke the revitalizing energy and serenity of the ocean.

Imane Dejardin was born in Liège (Belgium) in December 1975. Since her early childhood, she has experimented with many forms of artistic expression, but it's in painting that she has found the best way to express herself!
After taking part in art workshops for several years, she graduated in painting at the Académie des Beaux Arts in Arlon (Belgium), where she was congratulated by the jury.
Emotion is at the heart of her artistic journey. Like an ode to life, her work is colorful and full of energy. Creativity and imagination are the key words guiding her painting.
