About this artwork
In this work, I explored the intrinsic beauty and mystery of the iris by using acrylics to reveal organic and harmonious shapes that seem to emerge from the background, the "empty" parts correspond to the gradual disappearance of this flower which symbolizes a country which is also disappearing little by little. Vibrant and expressive, this painting adds a touch of delicacy and deep introspection on the fragility of life.

Imane Dejardin was born in Liège (Belgium) in December 1975. Since her early childhood, she has experimented with many forms of artistic expression, but it's in painting that she has found the best way to express herself!
After taking part in art workshops for several years, she graduated in painting at the Académie des Beaux Arts in Arlon (Belgium), where she was congratulated by the jury.
Emotion is at the heart of her artistic journey. Like an ode to life, her work is colorful and full of energy. Creativity and imagination are the key words guiding her painting.
