About this artwork
The picture appeals to the times of youth when roofs are our secret homes.
It is also an expression of admiration for these peculiar building (architect Victor Rosenberg, 1980-s). From very childhood I enjoyed the complicated forms of these houses, covered with glittering tiles that shine in the sun, so they formed my vision of aesthetics

Inga Levi
Ukraine
« I look at the space through my own optics, and I feel the need to show it this way to other people. »
Inga Levi is a 'poet of the city', her work depicts urban landscapes in varying genres. The Ukrainian artist's paintings explore both the harmony and tension between humans and space, as well as the transformation of common places through 'artistic optics'. Levi often creates using pastels in plein air in order to directly catch the impression, finishing the piece in her studio.
