About this artwork
Mister 456 - a man with silver hair. It is the man who is already shaped by life. A man of a ripe age, in whom he no longer necessarily has to assert himself. He has found his place in life and no longer wants to prove himself on all fronts; In Germany, as in Europe in general, a new male aesthetic has established itself in recent years - the man with a well-groomed full beard. The sporty and well-trained in the age 50+ or 60+, with silvery head… of hair, are the new male ideal of beauty. For me as a portrait artist, they are particularly interesting - they are just faces in which you can read life. Mr.456 - he is one of many, and yet unique - and he lives fully in this awareness.
« To be an artist means to face constant change. Carefully keeping the child inside so that it can continue to play. »
Inga Mihailovic is an award-winning painter and draftsman based in Germany whose works have been exhibited nationally and in Serbia. Creating in cycles, one of the recurring themes in Mihailovic's pieces is the portrait. Her distinctive compositions are made with acylics, oils, and collage on canvas.
