The artwork was exhibited at EuropArtFair 2024 in Amsterdam and at the Kunst Kijken Volendam 2024 exhibition in October in the Netherlands.
In December 2024 "Adagio" was exhibited at my solo exhibition in the center of Monnickendam, the Netherlands.
I drew this piece of art on pages of music notes that I soaked in strong coffee. The drawing is from the "Music" series. A cellist plays "Adagio" by Johann Sebastian Bach.
In this piece, I've poured… my soul into capturing the serene embrace between a musician and her cello. Layered upon sheets of music, the fusion of soft pastels highlights the intimate connection and quiet passion that music invokes. This artwork is a tribute to the poignancy of musical expression, aiming to resonate deeply and add a touch of introspective elegance to any space it inhabits.
Inga Yarotskaya, a pastel portraitist inspired by retro, modernism, and the undercurrents of individuality. She paints on unique mediums like glued book pages, blending literature and visual art. Her extraordinary technique of mingling pastel portraits with text layers portrays a human-centered exploration. The intimate dialogue between her artwork and audience elicits a nuanced understanding of the portrayed personality.
