Winter sun northeast wind, oil on canvas, 40 x 80 cm, 2016. When the wind shifts, I'm on the lookout for snow again. In the winter sun, my morning sidewalk observations are no longer necessary. Apart from the commissions, I continue to paint pictures that are connected to short trips from the past until the following winter. next snow, I look forward to it every morning when the sidewalk is clear. While it would only take me a few minutes to shovel snow off the sidewalk and spread new sand, being on call disrupts my schedule because I have to coordinate this extra work with my canine program. As soon as I stand in front of the screen, I think to myself, here I am again.
