Ira Simidchieva is an established American painter with international exposure. Of the belief that an artwork is a metaphor and everything in a painting is language, she composes works in which color, shape and various visual elements communicate with each other as well as with both artist and viewer. Stylistically, Simidchieva is inspired by modern art (rather than postmodern), and thematically, she is inspired by psychoanalysis. Her overall aesthetic is colorful and imaginative, with fascinating surrealist features.
