Irene Gronwall is a Swedish painter who has taken part in many solo and group exhibitions in her career. Originally an actor, she has been a professional artist for over 20 years. Her interest in what lies beneath the surface is a continuous theme in her paintings. As an abstract artist, she paints in layers, subtracting and adding as need be. Gronwall mainly uses acrylics, often employing different tools to obtain the effect she desires.
