About this artwork
In this work, I capture the fragile balance between reality and emotion. I use acrylic and marble powder to create depth, while ink expresses emotions rawly and honestly. This minimalist yet figurative play invites you to peer into the soul of the person depicted and sense their silent thoughts. It brings a powerful, contemplative energy to any space.

Irina Lorei works with mixed media techniques including acrylic, ink, texture pastes, and metal leaf, inspired by her rural childhood in Kyrgyzstan and her cultural experiences in Germany and Spain. She combines figuratively stylized, intuitive motifs with exciting textures and vibrant color transitions, focusing on expression and first impressions. Her works are an emotional homage to the unity of humans, animals, and nature, conveying deep connection, courage, and the beauty of respectful coexistence.
