Hummingbirds have a long history of folklore and symbolism in native cultures. The Aztecs saw them as messengers between them and their ancestors or the gods. In Native American culture, Hummingbirds are seen as healers, and bringers of love, good luck and joy.
In this piece, I've captured the ethereal dance of hummingbirds, creatures of vibrancy and vigor, set against a twilight backdrop that marries abstract… with realism. The use of acrylics and spray paints allows for a vivid explosion of colors, while gilding adds a touch of opulence. Its energy will imbue any space with a sense of life's fleeting beauty, reminding viewers to savor each moment.
