About this artwork
In this artwork, I've melded the raw energy of expressionism with the serene beauty of oriental art. Using wax and pigments, I've captured the dance of nature, each stroke imbuing the canvas with vibrant life. The rich reds speak of passion, while the delicate flowers hint at fleeting moments. This piece embodies an emotional journey, inviting the observer to reflect on nature's impermanence and grace. It will infuse any space with dynamism and an…
evocative spirit.

« My soul as a gradation from ivory black to dark slate, silver beige to light pearl grey. Surrounded in darkness, yet enfolded in light. »
Iris Issen is an artist based in Japan whose paintings have been featured in solo exhibitions nationally. She describes her art as orbiting around the concept of the four symbols in Japanese, as well as the classic Chinese philosophy that considers all creatures on Earth as being under the guardianship of the four cardinal directions. Issen primarily creates with wax and mineral oigments.
