This picture is painted in very reserved and therefore unusual colors for the artist
Pale blue and beige tones predominate. A big one
e semicircular shape in the upper part and two more of these shapes are distributed in the composition. Carved into the paint are clouds and various parts of the plant that enliven the picture. Likewise the graphic red stripes.
The semicircular shapes with the incised graphic symbols are a symbol of the Covid 19… virus. Its distribution in the picture shows its distribution around the world. The almost barren landscape clearly shows the threat posed by the virus. The subdued colors are a symbol that we have to live with distance and restrictions in this time.
Despite this heavy content, the picture appears light and gives hope for light and change.
The confidence that the light will overcome the dark vibrates in a wide view.

The German artist Irmi Aumeier, born 1950 in Würzburg, lives and works as a freelance painter in Kassel. She studied graphic design at the HBK Kassel (1969-1973) and attended various free painting courses at the European Academy of Arts Trier (1995-2002).
