Irmin Bernstaedt is a prizewinning, internationally-distinguished photographer from Germany. She describes her art as a fusion between photography and digital painting. Her works are created by taking pictures of inconspicuous, everyday objects, and then digitally altering the image to make it look like a painting. Bernstaedt 's pieces play with different colors, shadows, and layering techniques combined in unconventional ways.
