About this artwork
I painted this piece as a quiet reflection on resilience. These small yellow flowers appeared on a grey stretch of asphalt, where life seems least expected. I was struck by how confidently they reached for the light, transforming an ordinary, muted surface into something alive and radiant.
Through this work, I wanted to capture that fragile yet powerful moment when spring begins to return. Even in the most uninviting places, beauty insists on existing.… For me, these blossoms are a symbol of inner strength and renewal, a reminder that no matter how grey the surroundings may feel, life continues to grow, softly but persistently, from within.

I am a Vienna-based artist originally from Kyiv, Ukraine. Passionate about painting since childhood, I studied at the art school of the Teacher’s House in Kyiv. After a successful career as an economist and banker, I returned to my creative roots, working in watercolor, oil, and later acrylics.
Since moving to Austria in 2019, I have honed my skills through private lessons, courses at the Vienna Adult Education Centre (VHS), and online studies with Natalia Nosyk’s art school. My works have been exhibited and recognized in competitions. My art reflects a confident use of color, light, and composition, inspired by nature, seascapes, and still life.
