About this artwork
A dense, dark silhouette of an island hovers quietly over still water, its reflection distorted into abstraction, creating a poetic duality — presence and echo, light and shadow.
Warm coral and peach tones of the sky contrast with deep shadows, while the mirrored reflection introduces a spectrum of ethereal blues, greys, and sunlit yellows. The lower part of the painting dissolves into expressive strokes, where the border between land, water, and… imagination fades. This interplay evokes a dreamlike state — as if the viewer stands at the edge of a memory.
The work is part of my ongoing exploration of inner landscapes and emotional stillness. It speaks to solitude, resilience, and the quiet beauty found in transition — between night and dawn, between clarity and uncertainty.
