About this artwork
The painting is perceived as an open book, from which light and movement burst forth, as if a movement towards knowledge. Layers of color and texture resemble pages overlapping one another, creating space. This piece brings a dynamic, heartfelt presence to any space, inviting the viewer to feel the depth of passion and the complexity.
Iryna Medvedovska
Italy
Iryna Medvedovska, a Ukrainian painter with extensive academic training in art and applied graphics, works primarily in painting.
She moved to Italy because of the war. Italy provided new inspiration and life, and the style of her work changed.
Her dynamic painterly style blends expressive abstract impressionism with intuitive expressionism, marked by vigorous gestures, rich textures, and immersive, vivid colors that dissolve recognizable forms into waves of movement and energy. Her artworks radiate optimism and harmonious beauty, seeking to uplift the viewer and inspire a euphoric appreciation of life’s possibilities.
