Around six years old, schoolmates had pet chicks in their home.
Being friends, we admired these pens in our game sessions.
Always wanted pets or being near animals. All I wanted was to have the same as my friends, just like any girl. I came home, determined to fulfill my dream. I took a tablecloth, a bread basket, one or two eggs from the refrigerator from the kitchen. And I wrapped them well wrapped under the stove in my room. With the innocent… expectation that my own chicks were born.
He always got caught and the eggs were returned to the kitchen. I don't remember how many times I made my genius plan. But clearly it would never work out.
