About this artwork
Inspired by the mythical floating market of “Damnoen Saudak” Thailand.
In this work I wanted to capture what cannot be photographed: the feeling of being there, among boats loaded with flowers, colors that dance on the water and smiles that cross paths without words.
I didn't paint figures or literal scenes, because what stayed with me most was the movement, the light, and the energy that floats in the air. I used color as a language: the blues… are the canal, the pinks and yellows are the fresh flowers, the whites are the soft mist of a warm morning.
Painting this was like rowing with my hands on memories: each stroke is a liquid emotion, a fleeting laugh, an invisible fragrance. I wanted the viewer not to see, but to feel. To let themselves be carried, like a boat without a motor, by the current of this suspended moment.
Isabel DelTell is a painter, trained by masters such as Antonio Graziano and Yolanda Castro, whose artistic language stems from a natural and continuous connection to painting. She experiments within abstraction, fusing Impressionism, atmospheric Minimalism, and an ethereal figuration with restrained elegance and a unique emotional luminosity. Her works create visual sanctuaries that envelop the viewer in tranquility, seemingly stopping time and suggesting an intimate, contemplative, and poetic experience that evokes light, memory, and the delicate beauty of the everyday.
